Doctorate in Ministry The doctorate in ministry (D.Min) is a joint-program of the Oriental Orthodox Institute, Berkeley and San Francisco Theological Seminary- one of the affiliated schools in the GTU consortium.

The Doctorate in Ministry is generally a three year program. that  is designed for ministers involved in pastoral ministry. An M. Div or equivalent theological degree is required from applicants seeking to pursue this program. In their studies, students will develop a personalized program with their advisor, with particular consideration for their individual background and needs. The goal of this program is for clergy and ministry professionals to develop a variety of pedagogical methods to address and enrich ministerial life, with special attention to concerns like immigrant children, youth, racism, social justice, women and urban families, and globalization.

 

D.Min. student can concentrate in a variety of fields, including Orthodox Spirituality, Chaplaincy, Pastoral Counseling, or Peace Studies
